"how's the water?"
Hubby and I flew to Las Vegas last week to meet up our son and grand daughter and also to meet up my Pinay friend and her hubby. We've been there many times but it was our first time to fly and to stay at Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino.

We took the shuttle from the airport going to the hotel and we were dropped-off the rear part of the hotel building. That back part was filthy and a little bit creepy. Really.

Anyway, when we got inside the hotel, the place looked okay though but crowded, as in jam-packed, even the elevators. You have to squeezed in with other guests. It was stressful. We have not experienced the same in Reno hotels we have been.

We booked a King Bed Non-smoking room for $31.00 plus tax/night (we stayed 3 nights) without resort fee. The room was neat and tidy. The bath room was very clean, in fairness.

The foods at the Emperor's Buffet are okay.

If you wanna try your luck, don't play their slot machines because they suck, hehehe! I'd recommend you better play table games instead. Their dealers are entertainers at the same time. They are called "Dealertainers". They are "look-a- likes" of Taylor Swift, Rod Stewart, Beyonce, Avril Lavigne, Janet Jackson, Michel Jackson, etc. They're really good!

The experience was okay.

Their website is here.

Thanks for dropping by.

Titanic Artifact Exhibit, Luxor Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

TITANIC -The Ship of dreams, the Unsinkable ship

The Ship's Captain: Captain Edward J. Smith

705 passengers survived, but 1,523 were lost.
  • Even if all 20 lifeboats had been filled to capacity, there would have only have been room in them for 1,178 people.
  • The Titanic was the largest moving object of its time.
  • It cost $7.5 million to build Titanic and carried a $5 million insurance policy. It would have cost about $400 million to build the ship today.
  • More than 10,000 men worked on the Titanic for nearly three years to construct the hull and internal structure.
  • More than 100,000 people gathered to watch the Titanic sail off to New York.
  • For a third-class passenger, a ticket was $40 ($770 today). For a first-class passenger, tickets were $4,500 a piece ($90,000 today).
  • It took about 60 pounds of coal for the ship to move 60 feet.

  • Admission ticket price is $28.00/person
The exhibit was very detailed. This  review  would take you to my experience.

The replica of Titanic's Boarding Pass
Before entering the exhibit, we were given a "boarding pass" with the name of the passenger and at the end of the exhibit we would find out if that passenger had survived or not. I kept my boarding pass and I asked hubby's and Clint's so that I could post them here since cameras and celphones are not allowed inside.

Anyway, below are the boarding passes that hubby's, Clint's and I got. Let's check the names if they survived or lost.

If you are an auto enthusiast, don't leave Las Vegas without going to the 5th floor of Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino. You only need $8.99 to get in there. If you are a hotel guest, you will pay the same amount for two people already using the hotel's coupon.

I am not an enthusiast neither hubby, nor our son and his daughter but we thought that the classic cars, muscle cars, celebrity cars, etc,  are worth to see. And indeed, they were worth it.

I thought they were only for display but I've seen quite a few cars that are also for sale. There is something for everyone with the prices ranging $10,000 to $10,000.000. (OMG!)

    Loving Southwest Airlines

the snacks: pretzels and salted peanuts

No luggage fee (for 1 luggage only)

In the last 2 months, hubby and I have flown (domestic) 4 times and with those times, we flew with Southwest Airlines thrice.

The crew were friendly and responsive. The whole duration of flights were smooth.

    It was great!

While we were flying, I read Southwest airlines magazine and it's worth the read. As soon as I got home, I checked their site right away and signed up.

    Las Vegas Daytime Photos

Hubby and I flew to Las Vegas last week to meet up his son and grand daughter and also to meet up my Filipina friend and her husband.

We stayed there for 3 nights but we did not go out in the Las Vegas Strip during night time because we were exhausted already after roaming around the city during the day. So all photos are dull and boring sans bright and colorful dancing lights, hehehe!

Thank you for visiting! I appreciate it a lot.

    Have a great day!
