Diana's Punch Bowl Hot Spring in Monitor Valley, Nevada

This hot spring is located at the top of a hill in Monitor Valley, Nevada. It looks like a punch bowl, hence, the name. It is not known to me why it was named after a woman's name, Diana. Perhaps Diana is a Goddess of some kind or maybe they named it after Princess Diana, hahaha, just kidding, of course this hot spring has been here before the late Princess was not even born.

You cannot soak in the water because first and foremost, there is no easy way to go down, second, maybe the water is very hot and, third, maybe the US government prohibit the public (there was no sign though) of doing so to preserve this geothermal feature.

My friend's daughter found a long snake coming from a small hole in the vicinity so watch out for this creature when you come this place.

Thank you for dropping by at my page. Have a good one!

A Short Escapade in Reno: The Biggest Little City in the World

It took me like forever to put a title of this post because I did not think all photos are worth a blog but I just can't delete the blooming tree that I hurriedly captured while hubby was turning left to Silver Legacy's parking garage. It is beautiful, ain't it? That's the beauty of Spring!

The room is really nice but the lighting is bad, hence, dark photo. There is some blended Margarita left in the "plastic cocktail cup" (don't really know how we suppose to call it)  and it is my one and only favorite drink so I thought to share it here. It is really good!

Thank you for taking time to visit my blog. Have a good one!

What's in Round Mountain, NV? The Half Moon Saloon

Photos are owned by the author

The Half Moon Saloon is the only saloon/bar in Hadley Circle, Round Mountain, NV. There is another one by Carvers, which is 7 miles from Hadley. It is located by the golf course and I think it is owned and operated by the Round Mountain Gold Corporation too, just like other establishments in Hadley. (Update:9/11/2014- This place is not owned by RMGC)

I wanted to see how it looks like inside but I went there early in the morning to take photos so it was still closed.

I thought it was funny that there was Full Moon Saloon/Restaurant and The Half Moon Saloon in this place. And they don't have the same owners. Just being silly me.

Thank you for dropping by. You have a good one!

Reno: The Biggest Little City in the World

The famous signage :)

Reno is just 167 miles away from Winnemucca and it is where I buy Filipino foods. Every time we come to this place we would stay either in Atlantis Hotel and Casino, Peppermill or Circus Circus. I like to stay in Atlantis but hubby likes Peppermill better. We stayed in Circus Circus on our last visit though.

It is not really  my favorite place in Nevada but I like it because it is not a busy city unlike Las Vegas.

Until now I still have no idea why it is being called "The Biggest Little City in the World".

Anyway, thank you for dropping by. Have a good one!
