Reno Automobile Museum

My husband, my daughter and I were in Reno and we were pretty much done with everything, got a little bored, we decided to go check the Automobile Museum out. We have been to an Automobile Museum in Las Vegas so this our second time checking out cool old cars in a museum.

I forgot how much was the entrance fee but I remember it was not that much. The place is neat and spacious. They have "tour guide", I think, for free but we decided to just wander around ourselves.

The cars are really in good shape and gorgeous!  I enjoyed reading every bit of information in each car. And guess what? 80% of the cars in the museum were donated by Harrah's Hotel and Casino.

Yep. They must have been filthy rich!

Jaguar!

What a cool automobile!

Hubby like this. I don't know why. I thought it is dull looking.

Old gas station

This was one of my the favorites

I love their colors!

I love black too :)

Hubby said he had exactly like this years back

Sky Chief is not existing anymore, right?

It looks like a plane!

This is the front view of the previous pic

This looks like a "rugged" car

My daughter and I

My cute daughter :)

This is the only "car" that we were allowed to hop in and pretend to drive for a photo shoot,
the rest are for "your eyes only"

We had a great time at the museum! Thank you for dropping by!

Have a good one!

The Wynn Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

The Wynn Hotel and Casino is one of the luxurious hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is very classy, actually the description "classy" is an under statement. It has a sister and connecting hotel called "Encore" which is equally classy. Its location is very close to the strip.

The entrance hall from the elevator. Fabulous!

Oops, never mind my purse.

The beds

The "skinny" tub. The bathroom is huge too.

I love their many kinds of green salads!

Busy place but their foods are worth the wait!

I've stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter and my husband. We had a really great experience. There are quite a few numbers of restaurants inside the hotel and we went to 3 of them; The Red 8 Bistro, Zoozacrackers and The Buffet. We had great time and we had good food in all of these places.

Because it is a luxurious and lavish hotel, I signed up on their website and grabbed their promo which was 2 night-stay with no cancellation. It was a good deal but still a little pricey of course compared to other hotels in Las Vegas but it was all worth it.

The room is spotless and spacious and the bathroom is spacious as well which I liked most. I love their robe and towels! The curtain has a built in controller that you can just close or open it while you are still in bed, something like that. My daughter and I thought it was amazing and she exclaimed, "This hotel is high-tech!"

The Casino has a lot to offer if you play either table games or slot machines. I play slot machines only. I played their Cool Jewels slot machine and the other next to it, the "cupcake" slot machine, sorry I forgot the name. Just so you know, I did not win. I lost $40 but I enjoyed playing for hours so it was all good.

It was winter time when we stayed so I did not even think about their pool and cabanas but I am pretty sure, they have extra ordinary ones here. They also have shows but we did not check it either. Maybe next time. Soon.

Oh, I almost forget! This hotel has high ends stores that sells latest fashion on bags, jewelry, clothes and other accessories. I wanted to check their store that sells home decor but I was afraid I would just get upset when I found one but could not be able to afford it, tee hee!

I love The Wynn Hotel and Casino!

Thank you for your dropping by! Have a good one!

Walking Around the River Walk, San Antonio, Texas

After the Tour at the Alamo, we headed to the River Walk. Someone gave us directions and we were thankful. We walked few feet from across the street of the Alamo, took the cemented "stairs" and we ended up to this German bar.

We followed the bank of the river to the right and we went through this fancy mall called The Shops of Paseo del Alamo.

We passed by this British Pub.

River Walk is huge.

I am wondering what this place looks like on night time. I bet the lights will make prettier and romantic while strolling around or while eating by the river bank.

I wanted to ride the boat but my husband and son did not feel like they wanted to.

I think this building is an Italian Restaurant.

I enjoyed watching people walking around, and having fun here and there.

It is so cool that they made this River a tourist haven.

Had to take a rest after walking around. Hubby's knees started bothering him.

While I was sitting down chilling, I imagined how pretty this place would be on Christmas time. Christmas lights and lanterns would make this place really really gorgeous. I remember long time ago when  I was still new to United States, my husband mentioned this place but never in my wildest dream that I could be able to come here because he doesn't like Texas that much. Thank God my son got a job here.

I had a fabulous time at the River Walk. When given a chance to come back again, I would love to do it during Christmas season. It would be fantastic!

Thank you for dropping by. Have a good one!

My Birthday Lunch at Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse in San Antonio,Texas

We were taking a break after walking along the side of the River Walk in San Antonio when we decided to look for Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse for lunch as recommended by husband's former boss and friend. Guess what, we find it right away because we were just like feet away from it! I thought it was amazing!

It is located inside a hotel by the River Walk and I forgot the name of the hotel. It doesn't look like a hotel outside. Unique location I thought.

Hubby had this chopped steak with a side of sauteed mushrooms.

My son's medium well steak. I am not sure it is T-Bone or Rib-eye. He said it was perfect!

My pork ribs. It was okay. Nothing really special. I loved the fries though!

My dessert. Chocolate Mousse cake.

Hubby asked for a birthday candle earlier but the waitress had to leave for a family emergency. We thought the waitress who took over, who never cared to introduce her name to us (Amanda says her name tag though), knew about the request because she asked me which one in the dessert menu I'd want for my birthday. She put the cake on our table, never said anything, no candle and did not come back to check on us. She actually never came back. I bet she was not happy that she had to take over someone's guests. We had to look for someone who could help us get our bill. My son was disappointed and said the waitress doesn't deserve a tip which I agreed. But I left a tip all the same. I wrote it on the receipt, $15 for Sheila (I thought that was her name), the first waitress and $5 for Amanda. I hope Sheila got her share.

It was not a great birthday lunch but it was not that bad either. God blessed me another year of my life and it was awesome of HIM!

Thank you for dropping by. Have a good one!

My Post Birthday Dinner at the Saltgrass Steakhouse, Webster, Texas

My son is a steak lover so he pretty knew the best Steakhouses in his area. Salt Grass Steakhouse is one of his favorites. We dined in here with our friends Eugene and Nass with their son, also my new baby love, Luke, the day after my birthday.

Hubby tried their Rib-eye steak. Looks good!

This is my salmon. Grilled to perfection!

My son's kabobs with veggies. Yes, he is crazy for steak but I did not know why he choose kabobs this time.

Nass' pork ribs with a side of mac n cheese and shrimp. Yum!

Eugene had Chicken Fried Steak with a side of loaded Bake Potato. Look delicious!

Hubby, my son Jerry and I. We forgot to have picture with Eugene, Nass and Baby Luke! Tsk!

Salt Grass Steakhouse have friendly staff, nice ambiance and delicious food! If you come visit Webster, visit this place!

Thank you and have a good one!

Visiting San Antonio, Texas

Hubby and I flew out to Webster, Texas from Las Vegas, Nevada last week to celebrate my 40 something birthday with our son who works in one of the Medical laboratories there as Medical Technologist. That was our second time so we have had practically visited tourists spots in Webster and Houston area so we decided  to drive to San Antonio to see the famous Alamo and the River Walk.

On our way to San Antonio which is more or less 4 hours-drive from Webster, we stopped by at the rest area which I thought a neat place and is  properly maintained just like the rest areas in Central California.

I am mentioning this because rest areas in Nevada from my place going to Reno or Las Vegas are... never mind. I would rather pee on the ground if I need to use the rest room.

I was surprised that San Antonio is just a small city and I learned that it is one of the most visited places in Texas, like at least 3 million people per year, because of the Alamo and the River Walk. How cool!

A little view of the city.

We call this "Kalesa" in the Philippines.

This is across from the Alamo

Also across from the Alamo. Wanted to check it out but we ran out of time.

The San Antonio, Texas Courthouse

Here is another "Kalesa". I wonder how much to get a ride.

Hubby in front of the Alamo. He is sweating like crazy.

Taking a break after half an hour of walking at the River Walk. The walking made my husband exhausted.

Had birthday lunch at the Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse, per hubby's friend's recommendation. The food was delicious but they did not have enough efficient and friendly staff.

Anyhow, we had a great time visiting San Antonio, Texas!
